Android is nothing but a Linux Based Operating System which is customized for each smart phone for their applications. I thought if I can install Ubuntu like OS (which is also a Linux based) why can't I install Android in my Laptop?
When I went through the list of OS that can be installed using UUI (Universal USB Installer) I saw Android in it!!! Gotcha!!! Then driven by self confidence and excitement I successfully installed it in my external hard-disk. Just follow the following steps:
1. Download UUI here . (This is used to make a installation disk)2. Download the Android 5.0.2 x86.iso file here.
3. You need 2 disks ( 2 pendrives ) one for creating the installation drive and another as a SD card for your Android OS
Note: The SD card can't be further used as a normal pendrive. If you want you will lose the Android data. The installation disk can be used normally after installation.
4. Now it's time to create the installation disk. Open the UUI that is downloaded.
5. Select the Android from the first drop-down list box under the section Other Dstros Alphbetical
6. In the next box Browse and select the Android 5.0.2 x86.iso file that you just downloaded.
7. Now insert the USB disk dedicated to the Installation Disk.
8. In the next box select the letter of the USB disk inserted.
9. Check in the Format box and click create.
10. The process will start and will take few minutes to complete.
11. Congratulations now you have created the installation disk.
12. Now insert the USB stick on which you wish to install the Android.
13. Format this USB disk.
14. Now restart your Laptop/PC.
15. In the Boot menu select the name of the USB disk in which the installation disk is created.
16. It will boot and the following will appear.
17. Select the Install Android-x86 to hard-disk.
18. In the next menu select the formated pendrive
Note: Be aware don't select the correct the disk other wise you will mistakenly re-write the OS in your PC/Laptop.
19. That's it you have your own Android OS pen-drive.
20. After installation reboot the system and immediately remove the installation disk pendrive.
21. Again in the boot menu select the disk in which you have just installed the Android OS. You will see this logo!!! Kudos!!!
